Raised in a family of passionate and talented cooks, my family was renowned for hosting the most memorable parties in town and serving delectable food for which everybody requested recipes. I realised from a very young age what that one common thread was that bound my family, friends and community together - Food. Personally, baking was always my forte, my outlet, my passion. Nothing gives me more joy than feeding people and seeing the sheer delight on their faces when biting into any sinful treats which I lovingly bake. So when two of my three children were born with several allergies including dairy, nuts and eggs, I took it up as a challenge to get creative with techniques and ingredients so that I could see that same delight on their faces too, while safely enjoying the same childhood treats which I devoured as a child. While experimenting, my neighbours were tortured by the aroma of baking wafting through their homes which piqued their interest. After sampling my goods, they continually insisted and encouraged me to start my own professional business and that’s how Birch and Berries was born.
Birch and Berries’ recipes are personally handcrafted with love and made with the finest ingredients. Knowing first hand the impacts that allergy and dietary restrictions have had on my children, I take special and utmost care to accommodate them, when specifically requested, without compromising on flavour or quality. For dietary customisations I will personally call and have a consultation with you to better understand your requirements so that your loved ones can enjoy baked treats the way my children do. With quality being in the forefront of all my creations, you can have peace of mind knowing that my baked goods have no nasty preservatives.
